We want every author to feel confident in working with Barnes & Novel. This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled across our publishing, writing, editing, marketing, and illustration services.
Deposits & Milestone Payments
Most projects are structured around milestone-based payments. Deposits secure your project slot and cover initial planning and consultation work, and are generally non-refundable once work has begun.
Work Already Completed
Refunds are not available for work stages that have already been completed and delivered, including finished drafts, completed edits, published listings, or delivered illustrations.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel a project, please contact your project coordinator as soon as possible. Any unused portion of a milestone payment for work not yet started may be eligible for a partial refund at our discretion.
Print & Distribution Costs
Third-party costs such as ISBN registration, print runs, or distribution platform fees are non-refundable once incurred.
